Every time I start a new canvas, I’m reminded of why I created my style, Pop Impressionism. It’s my way of merging the loose, emotional strokes of Impressionism with the bold punch of pop-inspired color. The result is something that feels alive, modern, and deeply personal — a way of seeing the world not just as it is, but as it feels.
Here in Madras, the first hints of fall are starting to arrive. The mornings are crisp, my kids are settling back into their school routines, and I find myself holding an extra-hot cup of coffee while looking out the window, waiting for the trees to burst into those brilliant shades of gold and red. That seasonal shift, where the air feels a little sharper and the days start to tilt toward autumn, has a way of working its way into my art. I love reflecting that energy — that sense of change — in bold colors and expressive brushstrokes.
Sharing this process with you all virtually has been such a gift. From early sketches to final brushstrokes, I love letting you peek into the messy, colorful process that goes into each painting.
